If the Polestar service plan has been followed through, the warranty remains valid even with changes in ownership. Additionally, the battery warranty provides coverage for any performance issues or defects in material for up to 8 years or 160,000 km (around 100,000 miles). If the battery’s State-of-Health (SoH) drops below 70% of its original capacity within the first 8 years of ownership, Polestar will replace the battery at no cost.

The Polestar 4 does not qualify for the federal EV tax credit but the amount of the tax credit may be implemented in the leasing option by Polestar. For the leasing option and financing option, it has not bee clearly stated in terms of the actual numbers for how much the lease payment of financing percentage rate would be. For now, it is known that the Polestar 4 is eligible for the company’s Flexible Lease Program, which allows you to choose your preferred period of ownership, typically 24 months, and tailor lease terms according to your needs.

The option includes customization of the mileage allowances ranging from 7,500 to 15,000 miles per year and adjust monthly payments based on chosen down payment amounts. Moreover, the Polestar Flexible Lease Program has the Early Termination Option, which grants you the freedom to exit your lease after just five monthly payments without incurring any early termination penalties. Also, you can also opt to continue the lease for the full 24-month period.
