Kia’s release of the teaser images shows a glimpse of the EV3’s exterior design, where the unique geometric and robust styling is followed by its boxy rear fenders and a dynamic tailgate according to Kia. The EV3 will also have the company’s signature Star Map lighting with more designs that align with its ‘Opposites United’ philosophy that is also applied to its EV9 model.

With the teaser images focusing on the exterior design of the EV3, reports have further noted that the EV3 may also possess the E-GMP platform with a 400-volt architecture similar to Kia’s EV6 and EV9 models. Moreover, Kia has noted that the EV3 will be focused on broadening the accessibility of electric mobility along with its EV6 and EV9 models but as a compact SUV with exceptional performance and offerings of innovative technologies.

In terms of pricing, the suggested starting price for the EV3 in the U.S. market could be around $32,000 as reported earlier by Automotive News. As Kia plans to take advantage of the federal EV tax credit, the $7,500 amount will cut down the reported price to $24,500, making it more appealing to the U.S. EV market.

With Kia’s excellent performance in its latest April 2024 U.S. EV sales, the EV3 will further contribute to elevating the company’s sales and potentially set new records as it did in that month. The EV3 will be reaching high achievement targets as the standards are consistently being raised by Kia’s EV6 and EV9. The EV3 will be revealed to the world on Kia’s YouTube Channel on May 23rd.
