GreenPower recently showcased its latest offering in an electric vehicle (EV) in truck form, the EV Star Utility Truck, aimed to address the demand of commercial fleets for dependable, safe, and sustainable transportation solutions. This purpose-built EV truck was displayed at the NAFA 2024 Institute & Expo in San Antonio, Texas.

The EV Star Utility Truck embodies GreenPower’s 10th truck body upfit solution that was designed by GP Truck Body. Also, the EV truck is designed for a diverse range of tasks to cater to different industries including agriculture, construction, and government services. With 150 miles of range and a payload capacity of up to 6,000 lbs, the EV Star Utility Truck can reliably manage daily workload tasks while maintaining sustainable practices.

Interestingly, the EV Star Utility Truck comes with optional power sources that facilitate convenient tool charging on job sites while the front box has an optional full pass-through capacity for oversized tools and supplies. When it comes to carrying a payload, the EV Star Utility Truck contains a bed size of 16 ft with options for customization according to customer’s preferences.

Brendan Riley, President of GreenPower, expressed his excitement about the new addition to their commercial vehicle lineup, stating, “The addition of the EV Star Utility Truck to GreenPower’s already robust all-electric commercial vehicle lineup offers our commercial fleet customers another zero-emission solution to fulfill their demands.”

With the EV Star Utility Truck, the usage of transporting large items while keeping in mind of the environment accelerates the purpose of implementing more EV-based commercial fleets onto the market of transportation service, where internal combustion engine (ICE) trucks account for more than 80% of Tailpipe CO2 emissions from heavy-duty vehicles since 2000.

As a result, GreenPower aims to continue its journey to innovate and lead the transition to electric mobility in the commercial fleets segment by providing safe and reliable commercial EVs that stay true to the environment.
