Audi Unveils The RS e-tron GT Performance: Its Most Powerful Production EV Yet

Audi’s RS e-tron GT Performance Arrives With 925 Horsepower, Advanced Dual-Motor Technology, And A Push-To-Pass Boost

Audi has unveiled its most powerful production electric vehicle (EV), the RS e-tron GT Performance, showcasing the automaker’s goal of high-performance electric mobility.

According to Audi, the RS e-tron GT Performance delivers an exceptional output of up to 680 kW (925 horsepower), thanks to its advanced dual-motor drive system. The front axle features a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PSM) delivering 252 kW (342 horsepower). In comparison, the rear axle houses a newly developed PSM with 415 kW (564 horsepower).

A standout feature is the new push-to-pass function, which provides a 70-kW power boost for 10 seconds at speeds above 30 km/h. This feature enhances the car’s dynamic driving capabilities, which is especially useful on challenging coastal roads and winding mountain passes.

Audi has implemented several technological advancements to ensure the RS e-tron GT Performance maintains its high output consistently:

  • Adapted thermal management system for stable performance across all driving modes
  • New cell chemistry in the battery, offering higher energy capacity and improved charging capabilities
  • Increased maximum charging power of up to 320 kW, allowing for an 80% charge in just 18 minutes

Moreover, the RS e-tron GT Performance also features a newly developed 2-chamber/2-valve air suspension system, striking a balance between comfort and dynamic handling. For those seeking the ultimate in performance, an optional wheel-selective active suspension system is available.

In line with Audi’s devotion to sustainability, the RS e-tron GT Performance offers optional high-performance tires madefrom up to 55% renewable or recycled materials. These tires provide enhanced grip and optimized energy consumption without compromising on safety or performance.

The EV’s design incorporates exclusive elements such as carbon camouflage inlays and a matte-darkened carbon roof. For the interior, drivers will find 18-way adjustable seats and an exclusive Serpentine Green stitching package, emphasizing the EV’s luxury status.

The Audi RS e-tron GT Performance is now available for order, with prices starting at €160,500 (around $178,409). For those interested in other models in the e-tron GT family, the S e-tron GT starts at €126,000 (around $140,062), and the RS e-tron GT begins at €147,500 (around $163,958).
