Volkswagen Unveils New ID.7 GTX With Up To 440 Miles Of Range For European Market

The ID.7 GTX Comes With 335 Horsepower And An Acceleration From 0 To 60 mph In 5.4 Seconds

Volkswagen has now revealed its latest addition to its ID series with the ID.7 GTX electric vehicle (EV). Alongside the ID.7 GTX, Volkswagen is also launching pre-sales for three other trims: the ID.7 GTX Tourer, ID.7 Pro S, and ID.7 Tourer Pro S.

With the introduction of the new ID.7 GTX, it comes with improved power, extended range, and sporty exterior design. For its specs, the ID.7 GTX has a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system with 335 horsepower. It also has an acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and a fast-charging speed from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes.

As for its range, the ID.7 GTX has an estimated range of 595 km (369 miles). Regarding its other trims, the ID.7 Pro S trim comes with a larger 86 kWh battery pack with an estimated range of up to 709 km (440 miles). Similarly, the ID.7 Tourer Pro S trim has an estimated range of up to 690 km (428 miles).

For the exterior design, the ID.7 GTX is accentuated by Volkswagen’s signature IQ.Light LED matrix headlights bring improved visibility for the driver with new 20-inch Skagen alloy wheels with diamond-cut surfaces. As for the interior, it comes with designs of red stitching, GTX lettering on the backrests, and a GTX-specific multifunction steering wheel. it also has 30-colour ambient lighting with other features including the augmented reality head-up display and the IDA voice assistant with integrated ChatGPT.

The ID.7 GTX will not see the United States (U.S.) market but European buyers can expect its arrival for these offered trims. As of now the launch of the ID.7 model has been delayed in the U.S. market due to shifting market dynamics. Nevertheless, the presentation of the ID.7 GTX will further elevate the offerings that the EV market has to offer to all potential buyers.

Pre-sales for the ID.7 GTX begin on Thursday, June 6, with prices starting from 63,155 euros ($68,700). The ID.7 Pro S starts at 58,985 euros (around $64,253) the ID.7 Tourer Pro S will start at 59,785 euros (around $65,126), and the ID.7 GTX Tourer will start at 63,955 euros (around $69,669).
