Volkswagen has revealed its latest additions to the ID.7 electric vehicle (EV) lineup in the United Kingdom (UK) market, the ID.7 Pro S Match models. These new trims come available in both fastback and Tourer configurations including a larger battery capacity and faster charging capabilities.
The main highlight of the Pro S Match models is the introduction of an 86 kWh battery, a considerable increase from the 77 kWh battery found in the standard ID.7 Match versions. This gain in capacity translates to an estimated range of up to 437 miles for the fastback and 425 miles for the Tourer variant.
Regarding charging speeds, there are also improvements with the Pro S Match models now supporting up to 200 kW DC fast charging. This allows for faster charging from 10% to 80% battery capacity in 26 minutes.
Furthermore, Volkswagen’s new models arrive with several premium features including the latest MIB4 infotainment system with a 15-inch screen, IQ.LIGHT Matrix headlights, and three-zone air conditioning with smart vents. There are also ergoActive heated front seats providing massage functions while privacy glass in the rear adds a touch of luxury.
Moreover, storage capacity remains generous with the fastback offering up to 1,586 litres and the Tourer boasting 1,714 litres when loaded to the roofline with rear seats folded.
In terms of pricing for the new variants, they start at £55,450 ($70,920) for the ID.7 Pro S Match fastback and £56,140 ($71,800) for the ID.7 Tourer Pro S Match including VAT and on-the-road costs.
Notably, this launch follows the recent introduction of the sporty ID.7 GTX model featuring dual electric motors with a combined output of 340 horsepower and the same 86 kWh battery. The GTX trim also delivers a range of up to 369 miles for the fastback and 363 miles for the estate, with an acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds.
As Volkswagen continues to expand its EV offerings in the European market with the United States (U.S.) market not confirmed yet, the ID.7 Pro S Match models will further cement the company’s position in the overall EV market.
