Consumer Reports which until now hasn’t been the biggest fan of Electric Cars has obviously fallen in Love with the Tesla Model S and given it the highest rating ever for ANY car (99 out of 100)!
The Tesla Model S is a game-changer on many levels and receives top awards in several car classes such as performance and innovation. Tesla gave their engineers a fresh slate and permission to not be tied to convention and they successfully created a better car, with enhanced driving and ownership experience that has not been so radically improved upon for more than 100 years.
The Tesla Model S of today is just as much of a revolutionary product as the Ford Model T was in its day. Said another way the Model S is really akin to the first mobile/cell phone or laptop computer, a huge improvement to what was currently on the market at the time. The Tesla Model S is the first electric car that can easily shock and awe not only the automotive industry, but big oil as well! Here is a car that not only sets new standards for EVs, but standards for all cars, that make anything on the road today even more obsolete.

These are indeed exciting times, Tesla is still building more free to use SuperChargers across the USA, just think about that–free fuel for life and you can fully recharge a Model S in about an hour or give it a half-full charge in about 20 minutes. For potential buyers concerned about resale value Tesla has already offered to buyback the car after three years at a price indexed to the resale depreciation of the highest priced luxury competitor (Mercedes), so even falling battery prices shouldn’t be deterrent.
